A separate registration for each district
Antalya holds numerous agricultural products registered as geographical indications with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. What stands out about these products is that almost every one is tied to a different district.
Fruit from the coastal districts
Alanya Banana and Alanya Avocado were registered as designations of origin following applications by the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Alanya Carob (Harnub) and Alanya Yenidünyası (loquat), grown in the same district, are also on the region's list of registered products. To the west, Finike district is known for its Finike Orange, registered since 2008.
From sesame and olives to pears
Manavgat Altın Susamı (golden sesame), with an oil content of 50-62%, was registered in 2021. Antalya Tavşan Yüreği Zeytini (rabbit-heart olive), grown in the city's central districts, is known for its small, heart-shaped fruit. Inland, there's the Korkuteli Karyağdı Pear, registered following an application by the Korkuteli Commodity Exchange.
Registrations continue
Antalya's geographical indication applications have picked up pace in recent years; Gazipaşa Seedless Pomegranate was registered in 2023, and Kaş Margaz Grape in 2025. This trend shows the province's agricultural diversity being reflected ever more fully in official records.
