History
Antalya Museum was founded in 1919 by teacher Süleyman Fikri Erten and moved to its current building in 1985. It received the Council of Europe's "Museum of the Year" award in 1988.
Collection
The museum is known for its Roman-era statues, sarcophagi and archaeological finds from the Lycian, Pamphylian and Pisidian regions, most notably from the ancient city of Perge.
