History
Hadrian's Gate (Üçkapılar) is a three-arched marble triumphal arch built into the city walls to mark Roman Emperor Hadrian's visit to Antalya in AD 130. Buried underground for a long period, it was rediscovered in 1882 and underwent a major restoration in 1959.
Architecture
With its three arched passageways, it is one of the best-preserved examples of Roman monumental architecture in Anatolia and still serves as one of the main entry points into Kaleiçi.
